Global Flow Retreats, Amsterdam: Moving Towards Mastery Yoga Intensive
November 29 6:00 pm - December 1 5:00 pm EST
A yoga practice offers the tools to create a life that leads towards happiness and freedom. These qualities are skillfully cultivated and maintained in the ever-changing circumstances of our lives.
When you reflect on your life and choices, when you look closely at the people, your experiences and surrounding circumstances, do you see the signs of true happiness and freedom? Even if nothing could immediately change on the outside, are you able to skillfully navigate the story of your mind’s inner life?
In this intensive, we will look closely at the role of our mind in yoga and how we can establish a friendly relationship with the mind that opens the door to our greatest inner resources.
Each session will include a focus for the yoga practices that will challenge and simultaneously cultivate a healthy and powerful mind.
We will begin the weekend with a Masterclass:
“Move from the periphery to the core” is a principle of practice that develops a profound connection to the philosophy of yoga. It is a way of moving that takes us from the outer layers of the physical body toward the innermost layer of our essence. From that which is seen to that which is unseen.
In this Iyengar vinyasa sequence, “jumpings” are given to build stamina, develop quickness and agility, sharpen attention and create lightness. This dynamic, rhythmic and well- rounded vinyasa practice will systematically engage, challenge and penetrate the layers of the body inspiring an expanded and blissful state of awareness.
Following this engaging evening of practice, the weekend Intensive begins!
